The Minerva Center for the study of Population Fragmentation
The goal of the Minerva Center for the study of population fragmentation (MCPF) to advance the study of population fragmentation through the exchange of ideas, methodologies and accumulated insights between different scientific disciplines. We wish to outline the commonalities and differences between different processes acting in and on fragmented populations, to look into dynamics involving genes, individuals, or cultural motifs, and to tie these into a coherent view of population fragmentation. Our perspective is that there are important generalizations to be made about fragmentation processes, and valuable lessons to learn from adjacent disciplines.
